About Kohan C. Schnurr

I graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance with a Real Estate emphasis from Texas Christian University's Neeley School of Business.  I am a finance-focused real estate professional with hands-on experience managing the full life cycle of residential acquisitions, renovations, and dispositions.  Through both analytical and operational experience, I have strengthened my understanding of value creation, project execution, asset performance and investment analysis.​​

Professional Experience

Real Estate Analyst for Build-to-Rent |  D.R. Horton (2026-Present)

-  Currently serving as a Real Estate Analyst within D.R. Horton's Build-to-Rent platform, with a focus on portfolio and disposition analysis, financial modeling and market analytics.  My role integrates on-the-ground operational execution experience with data-driven analysis to support investment and asset performance strategies across multiple markets.

Self-Led Private Residential Investment Projects (2023-Present)

- Sourced, underwrote and acquired seven residential investment assets across the DFW market, overseeing acquisition analysis, renovation execution and resale strategy, representing over $2 million in transaction volume.  

- Managed full-cycle renovation and disposition projects involving acquisition underwriting, renovation budgeting. contractor oversight, schedule coordination, leasing operations and disposition execution.

 Managed renovation budgets ranging from approximately $50K-$130K per property.

 Generated an $87K gain on initial investment project through disciplined acquisition pricing and value-add execution.

 Managed over 32 months of landlord operations focused on occupancy management, rent optimization and expense control to maximize NOI.​​
